沈 超,男,1965年出生。1987年于浙江大學物理系獲物理專業(yè)理學學士學位,1992年于北京師范大學物理系獲理論天體物理專業(yè)理學碩士學位, 1997年于中國科學院空間科學與應用研究中心獲空間物理專業(yè)理學博士學位。1997年至今于中科院空間中心從事空間物理方面研究工作,1997年11月特批為副研究員; 1999年10月任中科院空間中心空間天氣開放研究實驗室研究員,并進入中科院知識創(chuàng)新工程。先后獲得1997年中科院院長獎學金優(yōu)秀獎,1998年度趙九章優(yōu)秀中青年科學工作獎,1998年度傅承義基金優(yōu)秀青年獎, 2005年歐空局CLUSTER計劃突出貢獻獎。2002年度國家杰出青年基金獲得者,國家重點基礎研究發(fā)展規(guī)劃(973)項目 “太陽劇烈活動與空間災害天氣”子課題負責人,國家重大工程項目雙星地球空間探測計劃科學運行中心負責人、中歐科學協(xié)調(diào)人,ESA CLUSTER 計劃磁場測量儀Co-I,中國科學院博士生導師、特聘教授。

研究領域及學術(shù)成就:

主要開展了磁層亞暴和磁暴觸發(fā)機制、亞暴和磁暴的物理關系、磁層亞暴和磁暴的理論預報模式、中性原子成像的理論與模擬研究、內(nèi)磁層動力學、磁層磁場重聯(lián)的理論和模擬研究、空間等離子體微觀不穩(wěn)定性與反常輸運性質(zhì)等方面的研究工作,取得了一些具有重要理論意義、應用價值并具有國際先進水平的研究成果,在國內(nèi)外重要刊物上發(fā)表學術(shù)論文60余篇,其中SCI收錄近40篇。

首次成功運用磁層全球等效電路方法對磁暴和亞暴活動進行定量預報。預報方法先進,是我國空間天氣磁暴、亞暴定量預報領域的一個重要進展。

首次運用物理分析方法導出磁層亞暴活動指數(shù)與磁暴活動指數(shù)的解析關系式,揭示了磁層亞暴與磁暴之間存在的內(nèi)在物理關系。研究結(jié)果引起國際同行的廣泛關注和積極評價。

提出了磁力線曲率分析,磁壓力梯度分析, 磁場矢量旋轉(zhuǎn)分析,磁場最小變化分析等幾種原創(chuàng)性的多點衛(wèi)星磁場探測數(shù)據(jù)分析新方法,并已編制了完備的工具軟件。對電流片、磁繩、磁層頂邊界層等關鍵磁場結(jié)構(gòu)的位形和動態(tài)變化的分析結(jié)果已發(fā)表在JGR 、GRL 等國際核心刊物上。通過對Cluster磁場觀測數(shù)據(jù)的分析研究,發(fā)現(xiàn)磁尾電流片具有三種基本類型:標準電流片,扁型電流片,傾斜電流片;并指出三類電流片在磁尾動力學演化過程中的作用.

首次在國內(nèi)進行地球近地空間等離子體環(huán)境可視化探測—中性原子成像的理論和模擬研究工作, 建立了暴時環(huán)電流離子分布理論模式,發(fā)現(xiàn)暴時中性原子成像的基本特征和規(guī)律。此項成果對雙星計劃中性原子成像儀的研制發(fā)揮了關鍵性的作用,為我國中性原子探測工作的開展提供了可靠的理論基礎。

發(fā)展了可壓縮渦旋誘發(fā)磁場重聯(lián)理論,系統(tǒng)地研究了可壓縮渦旋誘發(fā)重聯(lián)的線性和非線性特性,解決了不可壓縮理論模式與磁層觀測結(jié)果的矛盾,證實渦旋誘發(fā)重聯(lián)渦旋誘發(fā)重聯(lián)是K-H不穩(wěn)定性與電阻不穩(wěn)定性的相互耦合過程,是磁層頂邊界層磁場重聯(lián)的重要形式。國際磁場重聯(lián)領域的著名學者Sunnerrup教授指出這是一種新的磁場重聯(lián)機制。

創(chuàng)建了中國雙星地球空間探測計劃科學運行中心。在2002—2003的兩年期間,主持建立中國雙星地球空間探測計劃科學運行中心的硬件設施、網(wǎng)絡系統(tǒng)及程序軟件系統(tǒng)。經(jīng)歷兩年多的在軌運行,顯示科學運行軟件系統(tǒng)易于操作,能適應于各種正常以及非正常變化的情況,硬件系統(tǒng)、網(wǎng)絡系統(tǒng)非?煽浚錾赝瓿呻p星的科學運行任務, 獲取了磁層亞暴、磁暴等動力學過程的大量探測數(shù)據(jù)(約200GB),并取得了一些重要數(shù)據(jù)分析研究成果。
