The Phantom of the Opera
"The Phantom of the Opera" has the tunes on which I dote...I love to listen to this tale, I treasure every note.
A haunting melody begins, my heart starts beating faster,
Christine is singing beautifully....The Phantom is her Master.
"Angel of Music, come to me"...she longs to see his face,
To end this haunting mystery, to be in his embrace.
Down, down they go, through dark and mist, the masked man and the girl,
Below the Paris Opera House into the Phantom's world.
He sings "The Music of the Night" and her heart starts to melt
We wonder, is it love for him, or pity, that she's felt?
Could she be happy with this man, this tortured, haunted ghoul?
Whom will she choose? The Phantom? Or her own beloved Raoul?
He asks Christine to wed him, be together all their days,
But she tells him she loves the Count, and rips his mask away!
His anger flashes through the dark, but true love always wins,
Raoul arrives to rescue her....The Phantom hides again.
Now many years have passed and gone, and sadly Christine died,
Beloved wife and mother, she, with Raoul by her side....
He takes an antique music box to place upon her tomb,
But on the ground he sees a rose....!! The Phantom's love still blooms!

The music of my soulwords penned within my heart
Reverberating endlessly
with each breath from the start
The music of my soul
that which cannot measure
The depth of each emotion
as each note becomes a treasure.
The music of my soul
with which my heart doth write
Each thought, each dream, each heartache,
each hope, love and delight
The music of my soul
its melodic sound I hear
Listen as my heart does speak
a language very clear
The music of my soul
an emanating fire
Reaching a crescendo
within my heart desires
For the music of my soul
that whispers in the wind
Is a harmony unwritten till
the words flow from my pen.

Music is my Life
In times of great sadnessIt comforts me - the music of my soul,
In time when I am in distress
It helps me to be whole.
In times of celebration
It holds my family near,
Memories are gathered and stored
And always held so dear.
The wedding songs and lullabys
The sweet little nursery rhymes,
All hold memories and tenderness
Of other, different times.
Christmas songs all tinkling
Songs of a Harvest Moon,
Romantic and sweet love songs,
The pattern changes so soon.
In times of contemplation
It brings me joy - the music of my soul
Reminding me of changing days
As the seasons move and roll.
It stirs my heart and makes me weep
It makes me soar to heights unknown,
Special times and memories

Oh, It's So Nice to be With You
The words still strike a chord in my heart;A melody of sweet music begins to embark.
I strain to listen for the notes or the tune;
And the times we spent together under the moon.
Pledging to each other our love and walking;
Hand in hand along the beach, strolling and talking.
Gazing into each other’s eyes and listening;
The romantic nights under the moon that was glistening.
Midnight walks, shooting stars, finding treasures;
All those memories with you go beyond life’s measure.
Oh, It’s So Nice To Be With You….
Music of the 70’s the era of sweet love and devotion,
I lose myself in memories and emotion.
Music is where I can take my stress,
Lose my worries and life’s tests.
It calms my nerves and soothes my heart,
Music is a life saver right from the start.
My life needs a prescription so to say
Music is that drug that I prescribe every day.
