Blessings
Within life's store of tragedyAre blessings in disguise....
Not always are they clear to we
Who look with tear-blurred eyes,
But as the mist begins to clear
And sun comes shining through,
We find we're thankful for a lot
Within a world that's new.
The house that seemed an empty shell
Was traded for a home,
The life that empty seemed as well
Rewarding has become.
We find there's joy in simple things,
We bow our heads and pray
For baby ducks out on the pond
Who come for lunch each day,
For roses and hydrangeas growing
In our own back yard,
The peacefulness of evening walks,
The beauty of the stars.
Each day on earth a blessing is,
Our wealth it does increase....
With things that money just can't buy,
Love....honor....joy....and peace.

The Beatitudes of Gratitude
Blessed is he who has faithto believe in the little things
For strength and courage will be his
upon which he will cling.
Blessed is he who has hope
to see beyond the rain
For perseverance and comfort
will shine his sun again.
Blessed is he who finds the peace
that stills his wayward soul
For wisdom will be his reward
in all that he beholds.
Blessed is he who knows the love
that sets his life apart,
For beauty will illuminate
that which warms his heart.
Blessed is he, blessed is me
who learns that life's not all
About the riches of this world
but of gratitude, love and more.
Blessed is he, blessed is me
whose spirit does truly measure
The blessings by which a thankful heart
reflects love's richest treasure.

Gratitude
There are so many things in my lifeThat I can be grateful for,
Beautiful hillsides and flowers
And the mists upon the Moor.
A book to read at evening time
A warm and comfy bed,
Soft and downy pillows
Where I can lay my head.
The rolling of the ocean,
A full moon in a diamond sky,
A sparkling dewdrop on a rose
The memory of a newborn's first cry.
A family to love and cherish,
Who also love me too,
The chance to make a difference
In all I say and do.
Laughter and memories, falling in love,
Music that makes my heart sing,
Strength for my journey, courage and trust
Daffodils in springtime - a bird on the wing.
Faith when the dark clouds hover over me
Somene to wipe away my tears,
These are the things I am grateful for
The things that ease my fears.
