Poem #1
Spring
Spring is finally here,
With it, new life.
Birds are singing cheer,
A girl's becoming a wife.
The flowers bloom,
Their colors so bright.
Lightening bugs zoom,
And light up the night.
Morning brings in the dew,
Flowers scents now strong,
As life begins anew,
For Winter seemed so long.
Spring is my favorite season,
To walk in a gentle breeze.
New life and growth the reason,
Winter covered it with such ease.

Poem #2
The Winters of my Life
I have lived as long as the winters gone by,
My life has been hard and sometimes I cry.
Along with the difficulties also comes joy,
When things work out for my little boy.
Born in the winter on a cold snowy day,
A child was I.. but this was not play.
Lots of pain, then happiness, as he arrived,
So beautiful and precious and he was alive.
At age 18 months he almost died,
He has Encephalitis the Doctor cried.
Many a worry and many a fear,
But he would make it another year.
Now 38 winters have gone by,
My baby boy still makes me cry.
When I think about him and see the joy,
His wife and children bring my little boy.

Poem #3
Seasons Of Change
Ever turning, the seasons come and go,
First one then another, following so.
As each one passes, the changes reflect,
Nature's great glory, with utmost respect.
Fingers of ice slowly release their grip,
Winter dances with spring,in a fragile courtship.
Worn from the birthing of bursting new life,
Spring gives up her reign, to hot summer nights.
As summer burns it's last wick to the end,
The brilliance of fall, begins to descend.
Retreating to depths of rest driven sleep,
Renewal begins, neath snow falling deep.
People, like each season, travel through time,
Starting afresh before reaching their prime.
Tomorrow becomes the old yesterday,
As we seek each new dawn, on life's highway.

Poem #4
Season's Generations
I’ve walked the dales of Springtime lands,
Now sits my grandchild, clapping hands,
In perfect awe of newfound things:
Blossoms, birds, and butterfly wings.
I’ve strolled the fields of Summer time,
Now stands my daughter, in her prime,
Sun-filled smiles defy any cloud,
A graceful rose, erect and proud.
I’ve yet to stride through Winter’s cold,
There lies my mother, frail and old,
Still—strength and wisdom can be found,
A snow-tipped mountain, Heaven bound.
Summer and Spring are mine no more,
Blazing hues, forest’s leaf-strewn floor,
Winds of change whisper in my ears,
To cherish, now, my Autumn years.

Poem #5
Springtime
The earth exhales in gratitude at the hope of Winter’s end;
flowers in bloom herald the arrival of Spring.
Youth rejoices as the air warms with the scent of daffodils,
and glorious tulips side-by-side like lovers stand.
Birds trill their joyous song, hungry mouths stretched toward the sky,
as Robin and Jay and Sparrow, renew the promise of the season with new life.
Those of us who remember yesterday and yesterday and yesterday more,
stand and stretch and warm our bones beneath Spring’s rejuvenating rays,
And once again our hearts lift up in thankful prayer,
For another Spring is ours.

Poem #6
Seasons
There are four seasons every year
Fall is the one season I hold very dear
The weather is not too hot nor too cold
Fall has all of the pretty autumn colors
To me the season has no other
I like it when the leaves fall
If I could I would collect them all
When I step on them they go crunch
I like to watch the squirres scurry around
To gather acorns both above and on the ground
Some of the fall autumn colors are very bold
Too me fall will never grow old
That is why I like fall the best
It is the only one I look forward too out of the rest.

Poem #7
Seasons
The sky is gray no chance of sunlight today,
The ground is covered in icy frost,
For here it is another cold winter’s day,
Fire places are going to keep the houses warm.
For With the change from May to June,
Comes the change from autumn to winter,
The Nice warm Weather has quickly vanished,
Replaced by cold, gloomy weather
Rains spluttering the windows,
Nearly freezing tempertarues,
Rugged up in jackets and coats,
Have some nice warm oats!

Poem #8
Seasons
With each season
There comes change
Time to reflect
Time to rearrange.
Springtime change
Brings beauty and flowers
Gone is Winter
So long April showers.
Summer comes
And the heat wave is on
Then we Fall into school
Our vacation is gone.
As change makes way for change
And season slips into season
The world spinning still
Through every season and every reason.
