April 2006 Theme ~ "Sunshine"

Sunshine On My Shoulder

As I walk along this path
I feel the sun's sweet rays
I see the new blossoms come
Gone are long winter days.

Sweet smelling is the newly born
From baby's breath to a budding leaf
As I walk along this path
I think about my belief.

About how God in his most wisdom
Takes me along this path today
And how He shows me the smallest detail
As I walk along this way.

A brighter sun shines in my heart
And I know I will get stronger
As I walk along this path
I am not afraid any longer.

Thoughts of Sunshine

How is there sunshine
In the dark of night
From knowing that my family
Is safe and alright.

What makes a rainbow
On a cold, rainy day
A burst of sunshine -
It's magical that way.

What in my life
Is more warm then the sunshine
My children's love
With those rays, I know I'll be fine.

Sunshine

What puts sunshine into my life?
The awakening on a new beautiful and glorious day,
Knowing I have friends whom are true,
Watching children laughing and at play.

Looking up at the sky made of various blues,
Or trees with leaves in multiple shades of green,
Beautiful flowers of brilliant hues,
This, the most awesome painting I've seen.

Rain gently falling to the ground,
Bringing life to all around,
A day spent with family absent of strife,
All this puts sunshine in my life.

As I lie out in the sunshine
I feel my tension leave
and I am filled with love again
and a reason to believe.

Only under majestic rays
can I feel my most at ease
goodness enters into me
as light pours through the trees.

Without this time alone out here
I wonder what I'd do
warmth rejuvenates my spirit,
in touch with what is true.

The Revealing Sun

Scorching hot across the sands
The sun shines brightly down
Sparkling grains the sun reflects
Shining on the ground

The sunlight's heat upon my shoulders
Bring me such delight
As I cross these desert sands
Such a wondrous sight

Shining on the pyramids
Glittering like gold
Revealing things that have yet not been
New stories to be told

Ray of Sunshine

You bring a ray of sunshine into the darkest days
And shine your gentle kindness in such a loving way....

You shower fragrant petals rich with the perfume
Of friendship in the Garden reflecting vibrant blooms....

You give a piece of something to each and every soul
And make this place a haven that will never grow old....

You bring a kind of beauty to which nothing can compare
The kindness you have shown me that now is ours to share....

You are a ray of sunshine to me in every way
By brightening my moments with all your thoughtful ways....

So thank you for your friendship, your kindness and beauty
For you are my ray of sunshine who's so special to me....

You Will Always Be My Sunshine

In loving memory of Lurene Wooten (June 6, 1939-October 3, 2003) Mom you gave me life
You were my dad's wife
I love you both the same
Just like I did when my
Birthdays came.

When you died
On October 3 2003
It became quite clear
It would be you
That I would never see

I love you Mom
For me your baby
Girl will always
Shed a tear

For our picture together
Will always be by my side
You will always be my
Heavenly Mother & Sunshine
Forever.

Here I lay on this very hot day
Yes I know I shouldn't lay
it's not good for my skin but

The thoughts that enter my mind
are I'm so white, How can I get some
color other than white some nice light
color would suit me just fine i think.

So here I lay thinking and thinking
how can I get some color
and then a thought comes to me
outside I could get some color
with the right amount of time.

I can maybe get some color if I don't
end up looking like a lobster first.
it's always the timing when laying out
in the hot sunshine.

It's a beautiful Spring day
How the children play
The birds chirping
The wind is blowing
The day is beautiful
The sun is glaring
I love spring time
But to sum it all up
I just love the beautiful
Spring days

The Sun Shined in Our Home

Sunshine came to me
In that unexpected way
Like most things do

Two girls snuggled down together
Coloring, playing, and laughing
My cousin and I
are as close as can be

She reminds me of me
And makes me smile
with every new discovery she makes

Now that she's gone back home,
It's dark in our house again,
but the promise of next year's visit,
will bring the sunshine back to us again.
