SUBLIME (suh-blahym)
1. elevated or lofty in thought, language, etc. (the poem was sublime)
2. impressing the mind with a sense of grandeur or power; inspiring awe, etc. (sublime scenery)
3. supreme or outstanding (the chocolates were sublime)

Having a group of students that wants to learn
Sure can give a teacher quite a upward turn
When I look into their eyes, I see,
A yearning for more knowledge looking back at me.
The act of bringing about the expansion of a young mind
Is an overwhelming joy and a priceless gift of the most sublime kind

Sublime No More

I walked the rolling hills
When you were mine,
Time stood still
My life sublime.

We watched the sun
Rise and shine
Life was beautiful
My days sublime.

Evening came
And you were gone,
Sublime no more
My setting sun.

Sublime

I wandered through the garden
the wind within the trees
I watched a passing butterfly
float upon the breeze -
I felt a sense of splendour
so fragrant in springtime
With vibrant blooms of colour,
its beauty so sublime.

Inhaling now the sweetened scent
the perfumes of the air
I stopped to touch a flower
and its secrets hidden there -
I feel its warmth embracing
a ray of sweet sunshine
Dancing in the garden
its fragrance so sublime.

I stroll beneath an arbour
upon the cobbled path
Entwined with shades of purple
that never seem to last -
I feel its perfect grandeur
by intricate design
Cascading from the rafters
forever so sublime.

It's there beneath that arbour
where destiny awaits
Shrouded by wisteria
upon this special day -
I feel a kind of magic
with which our souls entwine
Our hearts in wedded harmony
and a love that's so sublime.
