This assignment was to write a short poem from the viewpoint of a small child, beginning with the words "When I grow up. . . . . ."
When I grow up I'll be a star!
I'll be the very best. . .
I'll dance and sing and act and then
Be known from east to west.

I love to cook and garden, too,
And do it all on my own.

I hope I never get it stuck
Like my daddy whose name is Chuck
Got his stuck in the dirty muck.

I will make chocolate the national dish
School will have recess all day long

My beauty will be talked about...
as I wipe chocolate from my face.

Something we can get for free
So we can eat it every day,
