October Theme Contest
AWARENESS & CAUSES
October is Awareness Month for two very important Causes - Domestic Violence and Breast Cancer. The first week of the month also observes Animal Awareness Week in Australia to coincide with World Animal Day on 4th October, while 10th Octber is World Mental Health Day. There are far too many observances and causes to list, but these are to name just a few which occur in the month of October.
So your theme this month is to write about one of the Causes for Awareness mentioned above or maybe another just as close to your heart - as each are equally important for raising Awareness.
Deadline for submissions is Saturday 25th October.
Submissions are to be a maximum of 32 lines (8 four-line stanzas or 4 eight-line stanzas).
Poems must be family-friendly. Your TITLE may be anything you choose, as long as the CONTENT relates to our theme.
Enjoy writing this and please send
PRIVATELY to

****PLEASE DO NOT SEND THEME POEMS THROUGH COMMITTEE MAIL!!!****
As always, the three poets receiving the most votes will receive graphic awards made by our Awards Committee, and all of the poems will be added to our PE website. Remember that this is the main requirement for PE, so everyone must participate. Anyone failing to do so must be reported inactive.
